Physiotherapy and rehabilitation for both large and small animals

LGAP

Horse

Horses

Just like us, horses can sustain injuries from accidents, overexertion, or during training or competition. Physiotherapy can aid in the recovery process, helping to rebuild strength, flexibility and mobility.

Dog

Dogs

Various factors can lead to physical injury in dogs, including accidents, developmental joint issues and age-related conditions. Physiotherapy plays a crucial role in addressing these issues.

Other animals

Other animals

Animals can suffer from painful movement due to injury or arthritis which in turn causes decreased mobility and muscle atrophy. Physiotherapy can control and reverse this vicious cycle of pain.

Leanne has treated both my dogs routinely for quite a few years, her advice, guidance and treatment through a variety of techniques has been invaluable in helping keep them in the best condition and enjoying life to the full - they are always pleased to see her too - which says it all!

We have used Leanne for 12+ years, she has treated a variety of horses we have had in throughout the years, some that have just needed maintenance treatment others that need more help and rehab, Leanne is always thorough with her assessments, great with all types of horses, even the slightly tricky or nervous ones. Leanne will happily work alongside our vets and has picked up on some issues before we knew there was a problem. Most recently we were struggling with a young horses that wasn’t improving in his work, Leanne assessed him and suggested we had his neck x-rayed, upon x-raying the vet found minor changes in exactly the same place Leanne thought may be our issue, we were able to treat with steroids and have a much improved more comfortable horse. We couldn’t recommend LGAP enough!

Leanne George has been my Equine Physio for almost a decade. She was initially recommended to me by a veterinary surgeon in the region because of her association with and knowledge of sports horses. It turned out to be an excellent recommendation. Leanne has treated our equines competing in affiliated endurance and eventing, as well as a driving pony and children’s PC ponies. Her base and breadth of knowledge is considerable, reflecting her extensive and comprehensive professional training. She is very good at explaining processes and thinking laterally about problems. The welfare of the animal is always her principal concern and she will never hesitate to advise in accordance with that priority no matter how hard the news may be to a rider. She is a very hands-on physio and uses technologies to augment her physical treatments rather than replace them. Her assessments each visit are professional, thorough, and great value for money. Leanne has also been treating our dog for the past 3 years; post cervical spine surgery. This prompted a separate diagnosis of arthritis and subsequent treatment. Our dog is much more comfortable now on medication and treatment, thanks to Leanne.

Leanne first came out to me to treat my first horse Vogue who required a lot of patience and understanding. Other physios had refused to treat her or wanted her sedated. Leanne worked her magic with vogue and she loved her. Since then Leanne has treated all my horses for over 10 years with such care, patience and precision. She’s always at the end of the phone when I have a problem, rushes out if I’m off to a show and one isn’t feeling the best. She always puts my horses and our liveries first. We call her the Wonder Woman as there has been many of times she has fixed a horse so we haven’t had to call the vet or advises on what she thinks going on. She’s more than just a physio she’s a very intelligent, experienced woman that really knows her stuff and is a massive part of our success.

I cannot recommend Leanne George highly enough. She always goes above and beyond for the welfare of the horse. Her treatment is both effective and considered - as well as tackling what she finds on the day, Leanne always has a long term plan that truly benefits the horse over the course of their career. I really appreciate that she takes into account all aspects of a horse’s management and uses feedback from both the owner and other professionals to inform her approach. Nothing is too much trouble for Leanne and I can’t imagine trying to manage and compete horses without her on my team.
